ExplorerTM – Pathfinder’s image-guided therapeutic delivery system, increases physician confidence in the OR by providing 3D visualization of anatomic structures and real-time tracking of therapeutic delivery tools. It is the first medical device cleared by the FDA in the category of Intraoperative Soft Tissue Tracking.

 

ScoutTM –Pathfinder’s advanced 3D visualization software, enables precise therapeutic planning and volumetric analysis for soft-tissue abdominal procedures. ScoutTM provides detailed anatomic information, allowing physicians to determine the optimal path of therapeutic delivery, or in the case of oncologic resection or transplantation, the plane of transection.

 

Future developments include image-guided therapeutic delivery systems and planning software for the pancreas and kidney, as well as minimally invasive applications.

Explorer Components

 The ExplorerTM system is comprised of the following elements:

 

  1. System Cart – small, ergonomic design minimizes OR footprint

  2. PathwayTM  - intuitive interface provides tool selection, registration, and visualization functionality

  3. Camera Cart – separate cart enables greater positioning flexibility, houses the “satellite” of the GPS tracking system

  4.  Tracked Instruments 

    1. Abdominal Reference – defines intraoperative space

    2. Tracked Probe – used to acquire data for registration and verify system accuracy

    3. Tracked Adapter Multi-Tool – used to track therapeutic delivery instruments

  5. *Laser Range Scanner – rapidly acquires dense surface data
